Oncology Nurses Trail Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in Use of Smartphones for Professional Purposes
As digital devices and apps continue to become more common in the healthcare space, it’s no major surprise that more nursing professionals are using these devices as well. However, there are differences. We found that while more than half of oncology nurses use their smartphones for work reasons, but they continue to fall behind nurse practitioners and physician assistants, according to Kantar Media’s Sources & Interactions 2013 Study – Oncology Nursing Edition. Their usage is fairly similar to that of 2013, but continues to rise steadily.
Kantar Media’s Sources & Interactions™ Studies offer a detailed examination of healthcare professionals’ online and mobile activities, e-detailing experience, and exposure to (and evaluation of) information sources including traditional and emerging media, sales reps, CME, conventions and more. The Oncology Nursing Edition, conducted every year, is designed to profile oncology nurses’ media use in these areas of interest to healthcare marketers and media professionals.
