New Technology and Media Changes to 2013 MARS OTC/DTC Study
Every year our consumer team works with clients to create a questionnaire that provides the most relevant and forward-thinking information to address the evolving needs in healthcare marketing and planning. As more adults consume media digitally, we’ve expanded our survey to reflect these new technology and behavior changes.
Changes include:
- Expanded use of smartphones to reflect the ways consumers make health and nutrition decisions, including “Scan QR codes” and “Track health/exercise/diet.”
- New responses to identify the changing ways consumers watch TV, including through gaming consoles and other streaming devices.
- New question that explores how TV programs are watched, including Live TV and Playback DVR/PVR.
- More social, consumer-opinion and content websites added as sites used for gathering healthcare information and researching issues, including “Hulu,” “Wikipedia” and “YouTube.”
- Internet/Apps now included as a way to listen to radio.
If you have any questions about the study or the updated questionnaire, send us an email.
