Highest Spending Drug Classes through February 2015

Advertisers in professional health journals spent over $86 million January through February 2015, according to Kantar Media.

Cancer Therapy is the top drug class advertising by both dollars and pages, as it was in both 2014 and 2013. These antineoplastic agents make up 11% of the total dollars spent on professional health print ads so far in 2015.

  1. Antineoplastic Agents – $9.6 MM (+48%)
  2. Diabetes Oral – $3.5 MM (-15%)
  3. Antivirals, Other – $3.1 MM (+124%)
  4. Diabetes Insulin – $2.9 MM (+86%)
  5. Anticoagulants Oral – $2.8 MM (-9%)
