Nurse Practitioners' and Physician Assistants' Use of Tablets Shows Growth
More nurse practitioners and physician assistants are using tablet devices for professional purposes this year compared to last, according to Kantar Media’s Sources & Interactions Study – Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners Edition. The growth for both groups hovered around 7%, documenting the growing importance of this digital device in the professional health workplace.
However, data from the Kantar Media Sources & Interactions Study, March 2013 – Medical/Surgical Edition showed that more physicians use tablets for work – and that their rate of adoption is faster - compared to both nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Trend data shows that professional use of tablets has increased about 10% every six months since tablets were introduced in 2010, for the physician population as a whole.
Kantar Media’s Sources & Interactions™ Studies offer a detailed examination of healthcare professionals’ online and mobile activities, e-detailing experience, and exposure to (and evaluation of) information sources including traditional and emerging media, pharma reps, CME, conventions and more. The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Edition, conducted every year, is designed to profile physician assistants' and nurse practitioners’ media use in these areas of interest to healthcare marketers and media professionals.
