Are Dental Hygienists Using the Internet for Work?

by Alejandro Alvarez

While the majority of dental hygienists say that they have used the Internet for professional purposes, their usage has remained low and consistent since 2011, according to Kantar Media’s Sources & Interactions 2013 Study – Dental Hygiene Edition. Further, younger dental hygienists tend to use the Internet more frequently than do older dental hygienists.

Kantar Media’s Sources & Interactions™ Studies offer a detailed examination of healthcare professionals’ online and mobile activities, e-detailing experience, and exposure to (and evaluation of) information sources including traditional and emerging media, pharma reps, CME, conventions and more. The Dental Hygiene Edition, conducted every year, is designed to profile dentists’ media use in these areas of interest to healthcare marketers and media professionals.
